Hi there! Nathan here.

Let me welcome you to PLR Express and take the time to tell you a little more about me.

My Story

I’ve lived online since 2006 when I created my first website with a friend. The website was all about making modifications to games consoles and it was never the intention for either of us to make money.

I spent many months putting that website together and creating a great following. Back then I knew nothing about marketing. All I knew is that I liked to write and I quickly came to realize that simply providing content for people to read is a simple but effective way to gather a large following.

I would love to say that first website was a passion, and the idea of modifying games consoles was something that I was interested in, but that isn’t the case. I still have no clue where the idea for the website came from and from where I found the time or inspiration to continue to work with it. All I know is that it grew to be relatively successful with over 60,000 unique visits per month at its peak.

The website was monetized mainly with contextual advertising and some paid banners. It was all new to me at the time. The fact that people wanted to pay me to advertise on the site was hilarious to me back then!

In 2009 the website was sold. There had been previous offers made for the website but I had always turned them down. In hindsight, this was a mistake. The release of the next generation games consoles means that there was a move away from what my website was offering and the monthly visitors dramatically dropped.

When the website sold, it was only getting 20,000 unique visits per month and I wished that I had sold sooner. The site sold for a nice sum of money. This was a great amount of money to have in your bank account in one lump sum and it meant that I could spend some time working on other projects.

My next project was a forum. Again, it was in the gaming market. I sold it after only a year because I couldn’t keep up with all the spam and moderating threads. Most of the users were teenage boys and trying to get them to moderate the forum was a nightmare – it was actually the moderators of the forum that were causing most of the trouble!

While this was going on I continued to work on writing projects. I wrote for local businesses in my area and I then ended up working with college groups to write screenplays – none of which have ever been produced.

In college, I studied neuroscience and became a medical researcher. I still do 1-2 days per week writing up lab reports for publishing and also working in the lab – sexy, I know.

During this time I have still been creating websites that I continue to add content to. These websites have never reached the heights that my previous website reached but they do actually provide a full time income.

It was only the start of 2010 that I discovered the whole “internet marketing” thing. I had never heard of squeeze pages, sales funnels, affiliate marketing etc. My whole business model had been just to create websites with content that people will like to read and put up ads or get sponsored banners to cover the cost. In fact, I still find that this is my favorite business model. There are many that would try to argue against that, but I stick by it – for better or worse. I’m a big fan of making things interesting and making sure that visitors get something valuable from my sites.

With my stumbling into the bright lights of the IM world – filled with “gurus”, crazy money-making ideas and, in a lot of cases, the empty promise of going from rags to riches – I somehow managed to blend my love for creating websites with building a following in various niches.

I tread very carefully in the IM world. It can be a bit of a minefield at times and I spotted that straight away. It’s not a place for the fickle-minded. You’ve got to choose something and stick with it or you can easily lose your way.

I am glad to say that I am a relatively successful affiliate marketer now, and the use of Private Label Rights content has been a great way for me to do that.

I found that making products and providing content takes a lot time. But I also think that’s it’s the number 1 important factor in any internet marketing business.

While I feel that I can write pretty fast when I set my mind to it, PLR content became a way for me to cut down on those unnecessary hours. It’s SO much easier to modify than it is to start from scratch, and I have become a huge advocate of PLR content.

I use PLR articles, eBooks, autoresponders and reports – all of it. It has become a great way for me to keep those profit margins high as I progress with my business.

Obviously, as you can see, I have turned to creating PLR content for others. I wanted to start a business model that wasn’t just creating websites and hiding behind them. I wanted to use a business model that would help me to get out there, make some connections and start helping people kick-start and maintain their businesses using PLR content.

Where I Stand

I’m a very relaxed person and I’m not easily offended. I also like to stay positive and I think that every minute that is spent dwelling on the negative is a wasted minute.

Every project that I work on gets 100% of my attention and I am always trying to make it the best that I possibly can.

But I don’t work all the time. Some days I don’t do anything at all and will be found spending more time playing games on the internet than doing any work. When I do work though, I give it everything I’ve got.

I like to do things in a fair way and I truly believe that there is more to be gained from an online business than money. It’s a great time to be on the internet and building a business – and I think that I have many great ideas that I have gained through experience in creating websites and using PLR content that you can benefit from.

There’s always an exciting journey ahead and I hope that you come along for the ride.
